I had a Sargent in the army that was a roadie, he was a stickler for rolling up air hose and everything like that. Works great!

A multimeter won’t measure 50 ohm coax as 50 ohms. It will measure its dc resistance not its rf impedance.

Quite simple, check the right type of coax with the lowest losses per 100 feet for the frequency you are going to use it for. Although for HF 160m to 10m open feeder line 600 Ohm is the best option you can select.
