To be fair, most movie adaptations of Batman treat the No Kill Rule more as a Guideline than a Hard Rule

Also the misconception that he works alone or works best alone. Which has created through the previous films and the Arkham games where he tends to keep Robin, Nightwing, and Oracle at a distance.

10:00 This is a big point that so many love to ignore. The majority of Batman’s rogues have mental illnesses, with some being aggravated by trauma in their lives. They are victims in their own right, and Gotham is a city that’s so far gone in darkness, there has to be someone to counterbalance that.

And youre bang on about Batman’s power level. For some reason ppl forget that comics don’t operate by real world logic.

There’s so many series where humans are able to train and achieve levels of power not possible by normal limits. Heck, we all accept DC and Marvel characters being natural super geniuses, but someone can’t train to surpass human abilities. Especially someone like Batman who has trained his whole life.

While I loved Pattinson and Christian Bale’s Batman. Those versions only scratched the surface of Batman and what makes him so great. Now in the DCU we are getting a Batman with all his Mythos intact and fully embracing the fantastical. I trust James Gunn to do Batman and right giving us the best live action Batman we’ve ever seen.

Bruce's thing is, he doesn't own all of Gotham, he's one of five families that owns it. As much as he would love to invest in urban renewal and gentrification to lower the crime rate. You've got villains like the Broker and the Penguin buying out these abandoned fairgrounds, zoos, warehouses, old mills and factories. Turning them into safe houses for criminals. Not to mention all the corporations and criminal organizations that just have headquarters in Gotham.
When it comes to the Joker, Bruce would love to just demolish Amusement Mile. But no one actually knows who owns it. There's a forest of dummy corporations, conglomerates, and historically protected notices. Even when the city tries to seize it and destroy it through eminent domain. Something comes out of the woodwork to block it.
But I love that Bruce is guilty of the biggest problem. Gotham, building over itself over and over again. Ironically, this might make it one of the most advanced cities in the world. Because the city gets improved every ten years.

Also about the no kill rule that nobody brings up why is the blame on Batman when the cops, courts, and prisons are there? Cops can legally kill people and do all the time but they don't shoot any of these villains. The GCPD do other corrupt stuff but not get rid of the Villains when Batman leaves them for them to pick them up.

You have truly giving me a new found deep appreciation for Batman, you’re reason and explanation were said and told beautifully, overall I just liked how you looked at things to objective view point. Thanks for making this video it was truly worth wild to hear you say what you had to say.

In the young justice, I believe, he mentions that he made him a Robin so he doesn’t become him.

I'm hyped for DCU Batman. I feel like we haven't gotten "the" Batman for the movie verse yet. Hopefully it's fantastical

And then even in the Batman 2022 it was like year 2 batman. So like he just hadn't fully gotten into realizing what he could do from a Bruce Wayne POV. Which I think really adds to the potential growth of the character
