  It is incredible. Mathematics is completely alien to the average man. They work on things apparently totally abstract that one day find application in real life

  Lol. It&apos;s like, &quot;Who was the first to discover the arrow?&quot; You know? If a thing is possible, two or more people will discover it. It&apos;ll just be different nuances. I mean, there&apos;s truth to it. By understanding a shape, we can understand logic. That&apos;s how Quadratic Equations were solved. But, I mean, is the true discoverer of this Pythagoras or the Babylonians? You know? That&apos;s just how it works, people study, and find strings, and pull on them, and two people pull on the same string, even three, and come to a conclusion through different routes. You see the Epicureans and Stoics are opposite philosophies, but both arrive at the same conclusion.<br><br>You can&apos;t do that though, punish someone for listening. Then you&apos;ll have to cite your third grade teacher for how you learned algebra. Just let it go. Both geniuses need credit, just like Leibnitz and Newton.<br><br>Like just so you know, I wrote a poem about this exact concept, using a Hickory Nut as an example. There&apos;s been other people who discovered this too, it&apos;s just being independently discovered over and over again. I mean, even Descartes sort of had something to do with this, don&apos;t you think?
