65 years couldn't break the problem. Sullivan didn't play by the rules everyone else was following. That's the kind of mathematical genius I find fascinating.

Chemical engineering was obviously the catalyst for everything else. The so-called Brusselator reaction-diffusion model requres all of the other fields.
