"Love" how AI is showing "Tryon Palace" on the coast in New Bern, NC area while talking about Tryon, NC in the NC mountains 362 miles away. LOL Similar names, totally different parts of the state.

Water stresses/issues/shortages already in these areas especially. Data centers are only going to make it worse. My beautiful state 😢. British Isles here I come

I agree with the poster above as I lived in Colorado for two decades and witnessed it first hand. It's not just the ski areas either it's the front range as well. I moved to NC and again have witnessed the SAME thing here in the last 15 years! Here it's mountain areas in the west, the coast, and particularly Raleigh, the state capitol and it's ten suburbs.

All those towns with gated communities end up with 2 classes of people the haves and have not. I chose downtown Tryon 36 years ago . Wasn't atracted because of the restaurant "scene" and still not exciting choices but the people, weather and scenery make up for it. "Nearly perfect just keep Try-on!

I live very close to Tryon and there is not one decent restaurant in the entire town, and at least a third of the little downtown area has empty store fronts. Those wealth people have no where the spend their money in this little town except for the neighboring cities or at the tractor supply store buying horse feed. Yes, the area is beautiful, but it won’t be for long because developers are taking over and planting house everywhere that they can get the land.
