The video butchered many of the names. However, the list stopped too soon.. Oriental is a sailing/retirement community of 900 about 25 miles from New Bern down HWy55 It is positioned right along the intracoastal waterway. Check the town's website for more info. Many residents were just passing through and never left There is an antidote to flood insurance, Just raise your living space above the base flood level and flood insurance is not needed our house floor is 9 feet above sea level. Flooding is caused by winds pushing water in the sound up the various rivers. The upside is that once the wind subsides the water level recedes quickly. We have lived here over 20 years & love it.

PAMLICO is pronounced Pam-Lee-CO <br>Mr. A-eye said nothing about Lil' Washington being 20 minutes from Greenville and 40 from New Bern

Alright this is weird. I've lived in north carolina since 2008. Bend to the shore once and it sucked. I've never met anyone here in north carolina who goes to north carolina beaches because they all say they suck, and very expensive. Instead, everyone in north carolina goes to south carolina to go to the beach. And I mean, everybody, nobody goes to the beaches here in north carolina, because the beaches suck, and they're overpriced.
