I've used the Mortite now for many years, and as you say it seals well and makes removal of the driver painless when having to work on it in the future. I recently re-foamed my JBL L220s woofer/passive drivers after 15 years or so since the last time and I see the Mortite has remained pliable and did not dry out at all over that time. It's cheap, plentiful in the package, and easy to find to boot.

I learn something new from many of your videos. I have refurbished ar2ax epi 100:and epi 500:speakers. I believe there is great value in these speakers and they exceed many modern speakers in sound quality when refurbed correctly. Used the hivi Roy C tweeter mod on the ar2ax. Curios why you did not brace the klh speakers. Perhaps they did not need it.

I was about to give up on our family Model 24s our dad bought (when I was 7 or 8 years old) when I found this video. Maybe I'll try to restore them, but one of the woofers is completely dead so I need to find a replacement. Have you ever tried cleaning the grill cloth after removing them? Or is there anywhere to get new speaker cloth closer to the color of the originals?

BE VERY CAREFUL relying on AI for specifications like cap or voil size. They are known to confuse other models, or flat out imagine values for these questions.<br><br>ALWAYS VERIFY with a more reliable source!!!!
