  Everyone in this future wears polyester, since cotton can&apos;t be grown. The subtleties of this movie are genius.

  The director and costume designer were looking for future shoes that nobody in their right minds would ever wear in real life and they found a company that made Crocs. 😅

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IImHO6lqqik&amp;t=1530">25:30</a> &quot;Oh he&apos;s wearing crocs&quot; Fun fact when making the movie. They wanted people wearing shoes that were futuristic looking and dumb but also cheap for budget reason&apos;s. The costume department found a pre-release version of crocs ( they weren&apos;t even on the market yet) and thought they would be perfect. The also thought they were so stupid they&apos;d never be popular.

  Fun fact: The &quot;Ass&quot; film was shown in a real cinema to get the shots, and the audience were actually laughing. It legitimately worked as a comedy, just an ass on screen.

  If you have ever worked in an office, Mike Judge&apos;s &quot;Office Space&quot; is a wonderful satire on turn of the century working conditions.
