  The one huge issue I know with A LOT of artists and this method is that they didn&apos;t sign up to be content creators... they practiced and worked their behinds off for years on their musicianship so now having to be some top notch sketch writer for instagram/tik Tok vids &nbsp;just to be appreciated is soul destroying... <br><br>I think a lot of artists I know would prefer the long road, the smaller audiences, less money and recognition if they didn&apos;t feel they had to do some fake X factor audition type video sketch on socials every time they wanted to release music. For the people that DO feel comfortable doing vids and sketches like this, it&apos;s amazing advice. To those that don&apos;t, just realize that it&apos;s gonna take way longer, but you&apos;ll get there eventually.

  I find myself overwhelmed sometimes thinking about everything that needs to go into building yourself up as an artist. I know it’s going to happen for me it’s just a matter of time and effort

  I&apos;m an older instrumental musician. You hit a nerve with this, and I&apos;m determined to raise my production levels and output. I was a busker for years, and built an identity around that in my hometown, but in the online world of 2024 I need something more than just being another middle aged bloke who plays nice, mellow music in casual settings. Luckily, I have a good start with a solid listener base on Spotify and other music platforms, but my socials are very ordinary indeed, and rapidly degenerating into a place where I just share cat photos once a week. Thanks.

  Been a DKMBA member for a quite while now and it’s been so helpful for me getting started. Literally didn’t haven’t a clue before, so thank you! I’m just struggling to get past the 400-500 views point, but this has made me rethink my content, so it’s time to get planning and go again! Cheers!
