  Fun fact: In the early days of Hollywood there was an actress named Mary Pickford who was Canadian but she was the first female to be deemed America's Sweetheart. Canada has played a huge role in movies and TV shows for over a century (well ok not a century for tv but tv wasn't around 100 years ago).

  Yes Vancouver is known as the Hollywood of Canada a couple more actresses that are also from here and still live in BC are Pamela Anderson and Kim Cattrall.
