  My Mother was born in Pianna digli Albanese in 1911. Mothers side Lotta Father Loiacano. My Nono’s family were known for the best cannoli in Sicily. We visited the first time in 2004 and went to my cousins cafe , Arbresh Loiacono. The Cannoli’s they made were just like my Nona’s. It brought tears to my eyes and was like holding the Holy Grail. I also spoke a few arbresh words and the old timers were amazed at what I said. I thought I said the wrong words , but they smiled and said they hadn’t heard those words in many years because the language has changed and evolved over the years. These gentlemen we were talking to were in their 90+. This was the dialect my Nona knew from the 1880. What a wonderful visit we had. Thank you for sharing this wonderful Video.

  Il cannolo di piana è patrimonio dell&apos;umanità 😊 grazie mille per la ricetta anche se spesso da Palermo vengo a piana per gustarlo
