Yuna feels ashamed because she realizes she has been totally oblivious of Shane’s personal/romantic  life for a full 10 YEARS. All that time  she lived on assumptions and was happy to just check another box in The Plan. A huge wake up call that leaves her shattered.

The music in Heated Rivalry is a MAJOR character in the series. It moves the story along without taking us out of the action/plot. In fact it ads to the emotional depth.

Good on Mr. Tierney for coming back like he promised, despite the fact that I’m sure his media requests have EXPLODED. And y’all deserve it for being genuinely great dudes and for being early adopter allies of this show before it was cool 🖤

The show is like 95% book accurate, including Scott's speech. Props to Rachel Reid.

Jacob Tierney take your time writing the screenplay for season 2. The reason why season 1 is so good is because of the writing. I actually preferred the changes you made compared to the books. If it means waiting until 2027 for  season 2 then that’s ok as long as the quality is good 🙏🏼

The use of All the Things She Said was so important to me as a queer millennial woman. Like I'm sitting on my couch relating to a queer male love and angst story, and then that story is directly layered with a sapphic love and angst story that meant so much to so many of us as kids, and then was dismissed and denigrated and used as an excuse to invalidate our sexualities for years, and then this gay man picks it up out of the recesses of my brain and is like yeah this show relates to you too.

Never been happier to hear "we won't have much more money" - the thing that makes this show so beautiful is the loud simplicity. it's so intimate and doesn't try to be too much, which is ususally what kills shows like this.

I’m a lesbian who grew up playing hockey and my best friend is bisexual and Russian. I am so grateful for the chance to watch a show like this together because I’ve had the opportunity to see what moments in Shane and Ilya’s journey are most impactful to her, and she’s seen what moments are most impactful to me. Watching this has really helped us process certain painful moments in our lives and brought us closer together as friends. Thank you so much to this whole team that made the show possible.

Thank you for giving Jacob a space to just talk. I feel like he isn’t able to talk at length about anything. And he is just so brilliant and so good to listen to. Thank you for giving him this time!
