Hudson and Connor's on-screen chemistry was off the charts.

As a Canadian, I see Heated Rivalry as part of a tradition of “little shows” that shocked us into new realities. Kids in the Hall, Codco, Trailer Park Boys, Baroness Von Sketch, Sort Of, Letterkenny … said things we never had. Like “I’d rather be a hole than a peg.”
Heated Rivalry was made on a tiny budget in 6 weeks. It was still being editing 2 days before it aired. Canadian through and through. We don’t do murder shows in Canada, we don’t do blood and guts. We don’t do big budget. That’s American culture. We do little shows that push the boundaries of how we think.

As a Canadian, I'm just so happy our gay little hockey romance show has become so popular. It's truly a cultural phenomenon.

Great to see Audie talk about this show which is a worldwide phenomenon and a cultural phenomenon. A show which couldn't have been made in America due to it's current political climate so Canada stepped up and made this show instead.
Romance stories may come back in Hollywood due to the popularity of this show.

People are starving for romance and Love. Look at the news! It's doomsday every day. So this show is the Antidote, healing the world. Fun fact, I live in Germany, no one here is streaming it yet, so I'm currently just living on Clips, reels and loving the Hype.

Original book, screenplay, casting, direction, acting, cinematography, lighting, soundtrack... all 10/10. Nine of ten on IMDB, epsiodes 5 & 6 are 9.9/10 (a tiny handful of best eps of TV ever). You could analyze this in so many ways and it's so relevant and timely. Masterly done.

Kudos to Ira for reading the novels instead of depending on the TV series! So many critics opine about "Heated Rivalry" without actually reading it.

The way it is like a cult is crazy. You watch it and get hooked so quickly and it is so short and such a dopamine high that the urge to convert others is irresistible. Read book. Read entire series. Watch and then rewatch entire series. Watch every reaction and listen to every podcast and piece of media commenting. Watch or read every interview given. Play the Playlist of the soundtrack constantly. Listen to all of the analysis. It just consumes every aspect of life. Strongly recommend Empty Netters because their reactions are their own dopamine high. It is a phenomenon for a reason.
