  I talked to a fiddle player once after a show and she said the difference is that a violin sings but a fiddle dances. In other words, the difference is mostly just in the way that it&apos;s played.

  Violin and fiddle are the same instrument, but they&apos;re often set up differently. Fiddles often use a less curved bridge to make it easier to play that style of music, and different strings to give it a different sound.

  I love watching young folks listening and reacting to the music from when I was a teenager in the 1970’s and 80’s. My son who was a Gen-x kid always turned his up when my music was playing. But, whenever I couldn’t find a cassette or cd of my music like Styx, Chicago, Charlie Daniel’s or Meatloaf, they always turned up in his room. <br><br>One day, around 1990, he went shopping with his granddaddy and bought a brand new cd. He wanted me to listen to it, saying “it sounds like the 70’s crap i listen to. He said that it was so cool. When I asked him what band it was, he said it is AC/DC Back in Black. &nbsp;Told him hold on, went to my old vinyl record collection and said “here you go, AC/DC Back in Black 1978.
