Nobody's ever prepared to hear a country boy go so hard. I got to see Charlie in cincert in a small venue in Virginia, back in 1991. He closed the show with this song, and even played a special fiddle that was painted sparkly gold.

As said, this came out in 1979,and is still played on both classic country and classic rock radio stations. Charlie Daniels is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and has many great story songs, check out The Legend of Wooley Swamp. Great reaction

A big part of this song is based on Appalachian Mountain music in the U.S. . Scot - Irish immigrants settled in that area in the early days . They brought their folk music traditions with them to America. The fiddle is used in classic Bluegrass music! It’s wonderful music. Loved your reaction, thanks ✌️😎👏
