Resident Evil 5 will always hold a special place in my heart because it reminds me of the earliest years of my relationship. My girlfriend and I were constantly broke, so the cheapest way to kill some time between work and classes was to play RE5 together on our 24” Visio TV while sitting on a mattress on the floor in our 500sqft apartment. For some reason my gf insisted on playing as Chris so I was Sheva, IDK why. We’ve been married for almost 14 years now.

  Hot take, Resident Evil 5 is my favorite in the series. The cheesy dialogue, the memorable set pieces and the many fond memories playing it coop with friends and family just make it above the rest of the series for me.

  One of the best things about this game is how it turns into a slapstick comedy if your coop partner fails the QTEs throughout the campaign.

  fun fact easter egg for lost in nightmares— if you try to leave out the front door three consecutive times, the game switches to fixed cameras like the classics. my friend and i did this on complete accident and i’m not sure how many other people actually found this bc i don’t ever hear it mentioned

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQcFScSQH_c&amp;t=4800">1:20:00</a> you can absolutely damage Wesker, it just requires you to flank him which is harder to do solo but very doable, you get new dialog and some treasure for &quot;beating&quot; him here, but probably not worth it.

  I just got done replaying this game with my bro from college online. After that amazing time, I must say that most of the people criticizing this game were playing it alone. It is a totally different experience when you play co-op.
