  There is another reason to do this. I was told by someone who has been restoring classic car interiors for 20 years that these also help stop the thread that holds them together from drying out and snapping. Where there are micro cracks working it in will help add flexibility where there was stress cracking before. He uses saddle soap and then a fabric softener mix.

  I think it&apos;s personal preference. But I love the smell of boot polish or dales dubbin rather than fruity stuff, takes me back 😂<br>Would be more bothered by the gassing out as am a terrible glass cleaner 😢

  Leather cleaning and conditioning is quite satisfying I find. I use Autoglym&apos;s equivalent on our cars once a year and have been very pleased with the results. Glad you managed to get that dash looking so good after the state it was in to start with.

  I dont have leather seats anymore. &nbsp;I used some leather wax called Golden, only using it on my custom motorcycle seat.

  Sadly local Swissvax and Adam&apos;s Polishers importers shut up shop in Australia. I do believe some other retailers carry swissvax though. But yeah, both expensive, but swissvax on another level.

  Your car leather has a clearcoat over it, so moisturizing it is like putting on rubber gloves and then moisturizing your hands.<br>I guess heavily worn, old interiors might benefit from moisturizing if the clearcoat has failed.
