  I could never sell a vehicle that had this method done to it, but if I was keeping it and wanted to make it look better then I would use this method.

  Newspaper and splodge - how we bodged up a car in the 80s to get rid of it quick - as it would just bubble up next time it got wet. Expanding foam has replaced the newspaper . This is why I take a magnet when I go to look at an older car 😉

  It does look a lot better than it did, give the guy the credit for that, it's for demonstration purposes only, the filling and shaping, rattle can spraying was what the guy was showing, the expanding foam would be substituted for plating and welding with a mig welder if you were doing it properly but the filling smoothing, sprsying would still be similar so it's educational.

  This is how me and brothers grew up buying cheap cars and using filler on holes... it's cheap home DIY and you did a good finish... personally i like setting the filler like an artist, virtually right on application but that can leave air holes needing more filler so overfilling seemed quicker and easier... looks better for sure, i am surprised so many are negative about it... this has always been a home fix type of activity on cheap motors that will cost more to have fixed than it cost to buy them... good job, i liked the ABS plastic... ain't gonna rust! :)

  This isn't fixing anything.  This is hiding the damage so somebody gets cheated when it's sold.

  If the inner sill is rotten or bent, the car loses a lot of its strength, and this can be considered a serious structural defect during the inspection (in Belgium, the vehicle inspection).<br>Rust on the outer sill alone looks unsightly, but is less critical — unless it also spreads inward.

  Reminds me of a friend&apos;s old TVR - it failed the MOT because newspaper painted black was deemed to be an insufficient chassis repair 😁
