  What the sheriff did wrong is that he was the guy who told Clint who the bad guy was. He&apos;s the sheriff... he should take care of the wanted man himself. He knew the wanted man. He knew who he was and where he was. He did nothing... he shouldn&apos;t be the sheriff.

  Just to explain the bank robbery. &nbsp;Indigo accepted Clint into the group, but he didn&apos;t trust him. He sent him to rob the bank in Santa Cruz with those three other guys... that robbery was a diversion. When that robbery happens, the town would send out a message over the telegraph that they were robbed. That would cause all of the law enforcement to go rally to that town, leaving the bank in El Paso unguarded. Clint shot the three guys, then made the old man send the telegraph that the bank was robbed. That fooled Indigo into believing Clint&apos;s group successfully robbed the bank in Santa Cruz, and that they were good to carry out the real target. Clint&apos;s plan was always to kill those three guys he was with... it was premeditated. It&apos;s cool though... we love our heros!!!<br><br>Also, that story that Indigo told about the safe inside the cabinet; he heard about the cabinet from the cabinet maker himself. &nbsp;The cabinet maker is the guy Indigo killed as he was breaking out of jail. The cabinet maker told stories in jail, Indigo learned more than he should have, and he killed the cabinet maker so he would be the only one who knew about the cabinet. <br><br>Lastly, &nbsp;when the robbers, Clint, and Mortimer were counting... they were counting how long it took the guards to walk around the building. They were timing how much time a bank robbery would have to break in. None of them knew the safe was in that little cabinet. None of them thought the robbers would just blow a whole in the back wall and snatch up the cabinet.

  Lee Van Cleef has a great screen presence. The director often reused actors in different roles throughout the trilogy.

  &quot;Dialogue&quot; needed its own credit because Spaghetti Westerns were overdubbed. Because the cast was mixed between American, Italian and Spanish (the movies were almost always filmed in Spain), every actor did their lines in their own language, which made learning the script all the more important (and all but eliminated any improv). So the on-set dialogue was never recorded. Instead, dialogue was recorded in post-production for each market the movie would screen in; this required a &quot;Dialogue&quot; writer to rewrite the spoken lines to better match the shape of the mouths speaking the words, hence getting its own credit.

  Lee Van Cleef is one of my favorite actors, he&apos;s really great in this one. And while you&apos;re in Sergio Leone marathon, please don&apos;t leave out Duck, You Sucker! (1971) because James Coburn is so cool in that one too with one of the coolest introduction to a character in cinema.

  Yes, Lee Van Cleef has a definite presence on screen. He started out as a great character actor in a lot of gangster movies and westerns back in the 1950s. One of my favorite gangster movies he was in was a 1952 crime film noir called &quot;Kansas City Confidential&quot;. It had a great story plot and excellent acting.
