  Leo, I am old man.  I have sailed many many years. . . .miles and miles on boats that I have built, restored, bought and sold.  Your channel has forced me to relive and remember many years on the water, and reminded me of how beautiful the earth is. . . especially on the sea.  God Bless you for your love of life, boats, people, places and things.  You are truly of Man of the world.  Thank you for sharing Tally Ho with us all.  Many memories to come for you.  CHEERS!

  I found this channel almost from day 1. I was searching for something to watch with my late father in law. He was a renowned hand surgeon but sadly he suffered from Parkinson’s and dementia. Outside of his work, his passions were woodworking and sailing. In his more lucid moments, what better way to provide him some comfort from these horrible afflictions than sharing tally ho’s journey together with him. Sadly, he did not get to see much of Leo’s story but I had to carry on. RIP Phil. What a great man you were. What a great story this has been.

  I never comment on videos normally but this is truly the best Youtube channel ever. I've followed since the beginning and feel quite emotional to see the years of amazing  craftsmanship  and determination sail into Falmouth. The footage brought proper tears to my eyes. Leo you are an inspiration and a true benefit to humanity.

  Leo, you set out to rebuild a boat but what you have accomplished has exceeded your wildest dreams. You have connected an entire planet together. We have journeyed with you from rotten wood to a triumphant return to the UK. Tally Ho carried us all with her on the amazing journey. The friends and memories you have made over the years are yours to cherish. Enjoy your well earned rest, but remember, this is not the end of the journey but rather the beginning of the next adventure. Thank you. Well done boat and crew!

  I know you are home, where you belong, but dang, you have left a bit of a hole in the hearts of many, many Americans who have come to know and admire you and have gotten used to having you be one of us. It's a bittersweet moment to watch this beautiful journey that started with your one dollar gamble come to an end, Leo. Thank you for the transcendent experience that's carried us through so much turmoil. You not only restored a boat, you restored a lot of what's good in the world to a lot of souls; and restored some humanity and hope to those who you allowed into your beautiful world. Many blessings to you, you will always have a worldwide crew with you on Tally Ho.

  Wow... if this is the original 'Tally Ho' what a restoration and to see her in all her glory with full canvas aloft. What a beautiful sight. This is just fantastic. I remember seeing Tally Ho alongside the Avatiu wharf in Rarotonga, Cook Islands way back in the late 1960's, she had just returned from Manuae island after running aground on the reef there. Somehow they had managed to pull her off the reef. She had suffered serious damage, her hull was holed. I believed they had her interior filled with empty 200L drums for buoyancy and had her towed back to Rarotonga. She was lifted onto the west end of the wharf by the dredging crane. She was left there for quite awhile, at one stage my uncle William Purotu Marsters worked on her replacing her ribs and planking her until the work was done. Later Mr Price from the US bought the boat, refitted her and as far as I can recall was going to sail her to Hawaii. I'm not too sure if that ever happened just that one day in the early 1970's I didn't see 'Tally Ho' at the Avatiu wharf anymore.
