  Fun fact I work in Grenaa and the factory that made this motor still exists but don’t make engines anymore. But is just a machine shop. The company’s name is Grenaa motor fabrik

  As a Dane, I grew up listening to the sound of these fantastic engines, I miss them!<br>What a beautiful Danish Cutter you have got yourself.

  Dane, born 1959. This was THE sound of all the fishing boats that filled all the fishing harbours till way into the 1980’s. Grenå, Hundested, and Korsør engines. ❤

  Very interesting, I have never heard of or seen such an engine. I hope you dont mind, but as a retired Safety guy. I can&apos;t not speak out. You mentioned your air system is 160psi, so that is pretty potent. I suggest you review all of your flex hose (Jubelee clips are not the right kind of fitting). I highly recommend you put safety lines on all of your unions (especially the one near your face). When a line parts, it is pretty shocking at best, but air pressure (any pressure is a killer), also, you are in a relatively confined space, and if the air tank union fails, the dumping of pressure will very badly affect you. I hope you dont mind, but for me, if people know about stuff, they can make their own assessment, and that is what it is all about. &nbsp;I very much look forward to the next presentation

  The fact that this motor and exhaust system produce the smoke rings we know from early black&amp;white cartoons really made my day. I thought that was just a part of the visual language like jagged bubbles for loud noises and explosions.<br>It also makes sense that this is only something we end up seeing with very low RPM engines. Thanks!

  Sixty years ago I did my military service in Sweden on a minesweeper. A so-called auxiliary minesweeper which was actually a fishing boat like this Danish boat here with a two-cylinder spark plug engine, or two-stroke diesel engine. These engines worked with low but powerful strokes almost like a heartbeat. They radiated a strong, soft and safe atmosphere like a great being.

  Swede here. I think these engines are part of some kind of culture or the old guard fishermen of the baltic sea.<br>My granddad wasn&apos;t a fisherman, but he a one cylinder hot bulb engine in his garden. I guess he used to have it to power his machine shop in the past.<br>As a kid, i would sometimes sit near lake Mälaren in the summer to watch boats. And you would hear these by their distinct sound whenever they came by.<br>There were some antique boats running these in the early 90&apos;s in Stockholm. I guess it was mostly a summer thing.
