  Hi Laura! Thank you for this wonderful episode. It seems especially timely, because &quot;Inktober&quot; starts tomorrow (October 1, 2026.) I am learning how to draw, and also learning watercolor painting. Many times I draw an object in ink on watercolor paper and then paint it. I have been obsessing about water-resistant brown inks. A blue-black ink would be very interesting, too! Last Saturday, I attended the Washington, D. C. &quot;Pelikan Hub&quot; event which was held at the Cleveland Park Library on Connecticut Avenue NW -- that is to say, the Cleveland Park branch of the D. C. Public Library. It was a great location for the Hub, and I met some really nice people. Well...I was able to get a 5 ml sample of Pelikan ink. Unfortunately I didn&apos;t try to identify the exact ink, and that was a mistake. It is a blue ink, and I notice some gold colored liquid or sediment at the bottom of the vial that disappears when one shakes the vial. Maybe this is the 4001 Blue-Black Ink you show. <br><br>I will be quite sure to read your article, as well!

  Love blue-black inks! &nbsp;I agree with you that Shin Kai is more blue black than Tsuki Yo. &nbsp;I also like Taccia Koi Ai and Lamy Pink Cliff as they both exhibit lovely blue black vibes. Now I need to try the Colorverse House of Twain!

  This was a great video and I really enjoyed it. There are a couple of inks from this video that I’m going to get to try out. I like blue black ink very much and I have not used any of the ones that you’ve listed here. Thank you for the time and effort you put into this video. Great coverage of each of these inks.

  I&apos;m a fan of iron-gall ink. I use Diamine Archival Registrar&apos;s Blue Black ink on a daily basis. This is one of my favorites. I also use Salix, it&apos;s lighter. Scabiosa is another R&amp;K iron gall, nice violet. And recently I bought R&amp;K Iron Gall Ebony limited edition. Amazing.

  I want a Noodler Turquoise in Water Proof, cuz the colour, but also cuz the fact THE IDEAS ARE MORE VALUABLE that shimmer and they need to be protected from accidents.<br>I&apos;ll stick to Noodler Air Corps Blue-Black and X-Feather Blue. &nbsp;Much less expensive/boutique, protect well, flow well, good saturation, and haven&apos;t had to worry about cleaning,<br>I use USPS for letters and correspondence, and my Amazon deliveries rate a 10% return for handling damage from USPS. &nbsp;I also carry notebooks and organizer by hand in a mostly waterproof, zippered organizer, but still have to take things out and write on desks with cups and open beverages, anyway. <br>Having just had a roof replaced from hurricane tree falls and rain pouring through those gaping &nbsp;holes, I don&apos;t want to face the loss of all my genius ideas from other disasters.

  My favorite in this color range is Levenger’s Cobalt Blue. I prefer darker inks and this fits the bill perfectly.

  Diamine is my favorite, although Taccia has a nice blue black. As for Pilot, Shin Kai is my favorite, however the Namiki Blue black is also very nice.
