Pete- PLEASE READ !!!!!!! I'm a fellow stamper with some words of advice! The Distress Ink from Tim Holtz is water reactive..yes... try it... swirl the pad in the paper directly and use a spray bottle and drop little drips of water on it...after a little while, pat dry with a cloth or paper towel..It makes an awesome background or stained effect. Great for layers! You can also do that to a stamped image! Tim Holtz also has a line of permanent ink pads that will not react with anything (like other ink or water) called Distress Archival Inks. They come in the same color palette that the Distress Inks do.. they are amazing!

My wife and I went to a new coffee shop near her office to try it out. Before we left, I asked if they had any stickers or stationary I could take as a keepsake to put in my journal, unfortunately they didn't but the barista said "I could stamp your journal for you!" and it honestly turned out to be the best idea. Stamps are dope, and now when I look at that page I'll always remember my wife and I sharing latte's and pastries and decompressing from the day.

Seeing you dive headfirst into your passport-stamp-wax-seal-fountain-pen-vintage-typewriter journaling era has been endlessly entertaining. Welcome to the club, membership is free and the vortex is strong 😂

Don’t know why I found a twenty minute video on stamps so enjoyable - I’m in my 60s for heaven’s sake.
