Generally speaking, I don't think it is okay for "celebrities" to promote or advertise medication. It's irresponsible and immoral. There, I said it. :)

my initial thoughts were that she is eating how much she ate when she was playing tennis full time and she has been used to that volume of food her whole life so now she is not a full time athlete she is consuming more than she needs and the glp1 will help her do a deficit - cause I’m sure she has probably only ate at maintenance or in a surplus before, so it was probably too hard for her to eat way less than that. but someone as big as her in the health space promoting medicine is crazy cause it’s not like she was actually big or obese or anything either so it is normalising it for the average person to use

Good for her but medicine shouldn't be advertised.Notice IT's always WOMEN showing Ozempic results like it's another hair mask.Just take it and you'll be beautiful and happy.IT's a MEDICINE people the decision should be made by a doctor.

I would imagine that she struggled to stayed in a deficit because she was used to eating a high amount of calories due to her previous lifestyle/muscle mass. An athlete needs way more fuel than the average person. Maybe going down to normal people calories for the first time in her life was difficult, let alone trying to eat in a deficit. That was my assumption when I saw the news

My opinion is that Serena is simply paid to do commercials for them... 🤷‍♀️

Bodybuilders have been using it for a long time to cut weight. It might get banned for anti doping

''Obese to beast'' made a really good video about it but, i was really waiting for yours. I love when two of my favourite content creators give their perspectives on something.

Celebs really just need to say, “I wanted to lose weight, I took the medication.” PERIOD. They always go on these long winded explanations to try to excuse ozempic use and it always comes out so contradictory and hypocritical. Just say less lol. She’s so confused about how weight loss works. It’s about your diet. Not athlete level training. Yes it helps, but you have to eat right. I would respect these celebs so much more if they just copped to it 100% without trying to justify it. Especially when their explanations are bullshit.

I've been seeing this ad campaign on the NYC subway. You are right that it is off putting and I'd say it's dystopic, advertising to the working class/ poor that don't have GPs.

I also lost 30 lbs in the past year and I feel completely different at my current weight. Even 5 lbs of weight loss has a huge effect and yet it's taboo to talk about how much better your quality of life is while lean vs carry extra lbs. Crazy world!
