I feel this video explains why to do it. But the gap is HOW to do it

I am post menopausal and take BHRT. Last yr my endometrial lining measured 9mm, which I was told was too thick. I did in fact increase my progesterone to "suppress" the lining and it did go down to 5.7mm. I find all of this confusing. I did try to "shed" last month and after 7 days of no progesterone, nothing, barely a little drop once or twice. I wish we had more informed doctors, I feel like I'm navigating this all on my own! Making medical decisions all on my own.

Thank you for this! It's such a blessing or fortune for all of us that this is openly discussed. For skilled clinicians like you and for instance Dr Louise Newson to publicly be very clear about your different conclusions and the reasons for them enriches us all. You bring us back to sanity, where it is okay to (in the moment) have different views and actually different execution. Within what seems to be safe frames you are actually creating campareable clinical experiences that is of infinite value. And what you are giving us is the gift of being allowed to witness how essential questions for practicing and receiving optimal care are being identified and formed into what is valuable to research. All practicing medical doctors (and nurses etc) who engage in sensible public discussions are paving the way for a new era of reality based health science, where the culture of public clear but respectful discussions must be one of its pillars. So thank you all who take part of this public conversation in - written and spoken. Together with you knowledge from your ever day clinical practice this will be fundamental for the changes that soon will break through the silencing, since it makes sense and actually is natural and healthy.

I am 70.my last cycle was at 42.
I started HRT 5 months ago..25mg patch 100mg progesterone oral. I felt much better in days. It is amazing. I wanted more estrogen to build bone and have better brain health. So the PA, upped it to.50 Estridol patch. After 2 months I had a 5 day light period.
I saw your video on how I could use my progesterone pill as a suppository rectally. 28 days after the first bleed I had another bleed but much more and clots,7 days. I'm thinking i needed this. This is like my past life cycles always predictably.
The reason I wanted to stop taking the pill orally was gastrointestinal problems, hunger and sleepy all day.
My PA said no i couldn't do that, even though I fell better. She said I had to come in and get a vaginal ultra sound and stop my HRT. She is in a panic because she is young with very little expense on this.
I did not stop my hormones but I did agree to go in for a vaginal ultrasound. If it makes her feel better.😅
I think i would be an exceptional person for the new clinical studies! I wish there were good doctors in my area of Sunset Beach, NC

First time EVER that I hear about the history of endos and bio identical hormones for women. A lot happened in the 1920’s!

Do you have a video detailing the cyclic schedule for taking progesterone?

I tried cycling and had so much bleeding and pain I couldn’t even function. It was the worst thing I ever did. My whole body was on 🔥. The extreme shock of sudden hormonal drops like that is NOT NORMAL and my body let me know that in a big way.

Hi Dr. Gersh! So happy to have run across your content. Wondering if you've touched on the addition of progesterone with a Mirena IUD?
