This film is like a "who's who" of famous '70s icons. It was on television on a semi-regular rotation as I was growing up, so I have fond memories of family movie nights watching this film. Shelly Winters' performance and her character's sacrifice for the group still make me bawl like the grandchild she'll never meet.

Wow, gotta add after viewing, this is the first time I've NOT enjoyed a reaction to this particular movie. The reactor's mocking commentary, sarcastic mimicry of dialog, ridicule of tragedy and laughing out loud mocking "the fat lady having a heart attack because she had to exercise". Bad form.
