  After living in the Tampa Bay area for 35 years, I can say this lady&apos;s comments are spot on. &nbsp;I reached a point where I&apos;d had enough of the heat, humidity, and the crazy high home insurance, and wanted to experience the four seasons again, and also be able to stand near or go in to a body of water and not worry about getting attacked by an alligator or a shark. &nbsp;The best thing about FL for me was selling my house for 5X more in 2024 than what I bought it for back in 1997. &nbsp;My happiest day was leaving FL. &nbsp;I&apos;m in northeast TN now, and my car insurance, home insurance, and even gas is much less expensive. &nbsp;I bought a beautiful home that&apos;s 50% larger than the one in Tampa, and its situated in a beautiful wooded, prestigious neighborhood, and it was 35K less than what I sold my Tampa home for. &nbsp;Plus, I have a beautiful view of the mountains from my property. &nbsp;Finally, the people here are so much friendlier. &nbsp;Best move I ever made.

  It beats freezing my ass off up North. The cost of living is still fairly reasonable. People are friendlier and not as agitated as in big cities.

  We have almost 9 months of beautiful weather and by the way in the summer you only go out in the morning or evening. Simple as that

  I lived in the Philippines 🇵🇭 for 4 years, comparatively speaking, Humidity in Florida is not bad at all

  I hate bugs, snakes, lizards, alligators, sink holes etc; it’s lovely in the winter from December to March but once the humidity hits its game over for me.

  Ten years here after moving from Boston. I did my research, and was in acceptance, and ready for everything Florida.... until hurricane Ian came along. Nothing can truly prepare you for a major hurricane until you&apos;ve gone through one.
