  We left AZ for Florida in 2021. Loved it, built a small cottage near Disney. Thought it was our dream come true. The hurricanes are not for sissies, the heat at times worse than AZ and coral snakes, water moccasins was too much. Then the traffic. We were 4 exits from Epcot and the bumper to bumper traffic took us sometimes an hour to get to the park. Came back to AZ 3 yrs later

  Everything you said was absolutely accurate Ickey! I had lived in Central and South Florida for 40 years, we left 6 years ago and moved up to Ohio where I am originally from. There are many things that we did not like in Florida, However.... that being said, we are planning to be Snowbirds soon. Thanks for summing it all up accurately for folks!

  Loved this video! &nbsp;Here are some more things that blew my mind: &nbsp;Florida has TWO allergy seasons, oh joy! &nbsp;We have armadillos! &nbsp;We have water retention ponds (large areas designed into most communities that become short (or long) term ponds every time it rains. &nbsp;The first time I saw them I thought they were so beautiful. I thought I would go for a walk around that water retention pond. That’s when I discovered there are alligators in the water retention ponds. &nbsp;We have wild pigs in my portion of central Florida. &nbsp;They love to come into your yard and dig up your grass to get to the bugs below. In my first month of living in Florida, my communities, HOA authorized anyone licensed to carry a weapon in Florida to go out hunting the wild pics. Imagine my shock when I woke up to rapid gunfire one morning at sunrise. &nbsp;You already mentioned the sand hill cranes but I have to say those monster birds, shocked me the first time I saw them. They’re beautiful, I love them, and we have at least a dozen or two dozen who live around here. And yes, they cross our roads to go wherever they want to go walking very slowly. And you can’t just drive through, you have to wait for them to cross the road. &nbsp;You mentioned the Palmetto bugs, thank you God I don’t have that problem in my house, but they’re around. Along with pretty much every other insect that has ever been on the face of planet Earth. Oh my goodness, so many bugs. You mentioned the lizards, I have tons of them. They’re hilarious to watch. They don’t hurt anything. But in southern Florida they do have in the winter falling iguana warnings. I’ve been told when the weather is very cold the iguanas freeze and will fall out of the trees. &nbsp;I’ve never seen that at my house, but I am tempted to go down around Miami just to see if it really happens down there.<br><br>And like you said, I wouldn’t trade this for anything. Is it hot? Of course it is! I came here for hot. Is the humidity off the scale? Of course it is!!! &nbsp;I like to think of it as the hot weather just folding its arms around me as I walk outside and give me a big wet juicy Florida hug. Florida, I love ya!

  Spot on video! &nbsp;I moved to Orlando over 30yrs ago and everything you talk about got worse and you didn&apos;t even mention the cost of housing.

  I did it at 18 when palm beach was nice and quiet. You couldn&apos;t pay me to move back but it was a lot of fun back then.

  You forgot the fire ants! Every patch of untreated ground is infested with fire ants that sting and can cause infections.

  Moved here six years ago from Wild Wonderful Southern West Virginia... Spot on with everything, especially with the amount of wildlife and the traffic. &nbsp;I have no intention of leaving. &nbsp;I love it!
