  What a great perspective about the changes!  I grew up in the area and been visiting since the 70's.  Moved away in 1986 when times were very tough.    Huge changes and the only city in the rust belt to have great success in evolution.  I'd have added Heinz Hall and the theater district and also PPG plaza and the weekend activities there.  (But I don't know if it's hopping at Christmastime)  Summer visitors can go to one of the best baseball parks in the county, PNC Park.  You gave me a couple places to visit when I go next, probably in December, too.  Thank you for that!

  I took the funicular during my latest visit to Pittsburgh for a conference! Can concur, awesome skyline views, was fortunate enough to see it at sunset.

  Great video! Wholeys is the best, you can buy and eat anything that swims there. The Market at Christmas time is pretty cool too. You definitely need to rent a car. She didn&apos;t mention Kennywood, it&apos;s an old school amusement park you have to visit if your in &quot;the Burgh&quot;.

  Locals claim the so-called &quot;strip district&quot; is &quot;north east of downtown&quot; but if you look at a map, you clearly see you MUST go SOUTH over a bridge to get to this neighborhood, not North.<br>Sure, once you get there, there&apos;s no direction to go but north-easterly direction of this neighborhood as it follows the river valley. &nbsp;Yup. &nbsp;<br>But it&apos;s not NE of Downtown Pittsburgh, it&apos;s south across the river. &nbsp;I can read a map, don&apos;t listen to local vernacular, they will confuse you
