  I have left after nearly 30 yrs I have had enough of battling the road network system and the absolutely horrendous pay... It&apos;s not worth the hassle anymore.<br>We as drivers are persecuted from the minute we start our day to the minute we finish the industry is massively over regulated and as drivers which in my opinion have as much responsibility if more than any other transport profession that includes trains, aircraft massively undervalued, underpaid and the experienced once amongst us have had enough..<br>Your big transport logistics companies are failing due to the lack of management and &nbsp;organizational skills. <br>There is so much wrong with industry it&apos;s failing because the way they treat employees so the British drivers are walking you will not get them back.. <br>There isn&apos;t a shortage of drivers there is a shortage of drivers willing to drive..<br>Most buy the cheapest fleet truck which isn&apos;t built for the driver and his well-being so after years of it..<br>The mobility of a driver becomes a health issue, there is no rest bite the change needs to come from the top

  Been in the haulage industry since 1990 and now run 8 trucks mainly on bulker and low loader work, been very lucky to have customers that don&apos;t expect us to work for nothing, it&apos;s crazy that hauliers are working for nothing and expected to, these customers still make there profits

  I retired from driving HGV1 trucks in 2016. I was earning more in 2003 per hour in the week, plus on saturdays and sundays than when I retired 12 years later. So the failure to pay drivers a proper wage is not just 3 years old. It is over 20 years old!

  The issues raised are so true. Tesco and Amazon are so big now and the need of both to keep their &quot; bottom line&quot; very healthy for obvious reasons means hauliers and eventually public suffer. Profits are the key issue and everything else is second fiddle. <br> &nbsp;Without radical changes to do the right thing with hauliers and the driver problems things will only get worse.
