  The best 25 years of my life being a truck driver. I drove in Denmark Germany France Spain and Norway and Sweden , now I am on pension . 70 years old woman from Danmark  😅🙋‍♀️

  I am a new lorry driver in the UK, only just started last year and let me tell you that I have already been through multiple narrowest and most unsuitable roads that have ever been built! At the same time I must say that I received a LOT of support from others - everyone is waiting patiently, even if it takes me a minute or two in the city centre, I just sometimes need to block entire street and reverse into a tight gate/entrance. Very stressful, very rewarding. But as someone said - there's no need to stress out, people need to realise that almost everything they have at home was transported by trucks!

  I&apos;m a truck driver myself in the Netherlands and i drive for the event branche for festivals but i also deliver at Private party&apos;s and concert halls in the city centre in a double as you call it and you really learn how to drive in tight spaces with a lot of obstacles but you have to stay cool in your head for not make any mistakes in the centre of Groningen for example the are a lot of bicycles and their are a lot of them that are realy suïcidale so you have to really have your head clear so bad things don&apos;t happen but that&apos;s the fun part of my job....if people really think Oh no way that is going to happen and you make it happen with a double and people waiting sometimes put their hands together with a look at their faces if they see water burning that really makes my job awesome, great reaction btw and even i like the big american trucks, in the Netherlands they don&apos;t make any sence because the Netherlands has to much tight corners and small streets, greetings from the Netherlands

  as a truck driver you learn to let go of that perceived social pressure really quickly. Let them honk their horns if they must, if you need to stop in the middle of a busy intersection and start backing up it is what it is. It won&apos;t go any faster for anyone if you let other people hold your attention. You need to do what you do and you can do it confidently and quickly whether someone is looking or not. The task at hand is the only thing you&apos;re concentrating on. If someone feels annoyed is outside of your control.

  My half uncle was a driver with 35+ years of experience, hauled over europe, mostly netherlands. Dude was a beast behind the wheel, the amount of precision he had was beyond belife.<br>Respect to all big haul drivers 💪

  Dutch truckers in general are well trained and also well aware of the weight they carry around, and what danger it can cause if they are not focused!! Respect!!!!

  Coming from NZ to the UK 20 years ago as a truck driver, i was like, what! I gotta take my truck in there? Now I&apos;m used to it but narrow roads, small yards, alleyways etc really gave me a twitchy arse in the first year.
