  This video needs to be corrected. Apple is using their own frontier model. It was only trained by Gemini

  It&apos;s not built on top of Gemini. Gemini was used to train Apple Intelligence to get it up to speed with competitor models, but the models and architecture are still built and designed by Apple. Craig Federighi did a whole talk on this at WWDC this year.

  The other side topic on this is privacy. Apple is very big on privacy and having the chance to run a LLM on your own computer and not via a cloud &nbsp;I think will sway a large user base.

  Apple is focusing on the right thing — mass consumer usefulness. Not the fastest or most intelligent. It only needs to be good enough to accomplish what people hoped Siri would be, and to do it well.

  Perhaps I was late to this but this was exactly how felt once I heard about the Humane Pin. Because once I realized that’s EXACTLY what I want, but there was no way they would ever be able to deliver the hardware, Apple’s strategy was, in my opinion, the best. Yes that means they will lag a bit behind when it comes to software, but if it’s integrated seamlessly into hardware I will take that ANY DAY over the top AI models. I don’t need to code a video game on my phone. I need it to be a personal assistant. We’ve had that level of AI for a least a few months now already.
