  Watchtower uses the term preacher....ministry kind of loosely. A more honest answer would be salesman. We were selling a new philosophy a new idea unlike any other. Getting people to convert to our brand of Christianity which by the way diminishes Jesus role in God's plans and Kingdom arrangements. All this was the contrivance a man and the results are obvious.

  Thank you very much for sharing from the heart! I appreciated that, calm, very balanced, and sticking to Scripture, while fingering the business-like additional requirements of the WO in their outreach system. You are applying Acts 17:10-12, checking everything you hear and read daily against the Scriptures, which in the sight of God is more noble, than not checking and risking imbibing error. <br><br>Prayerful reading of the whole of the NT in a standard Bible becomes a joy as the word of God comes alive. Psalm 119:18. Truth will stand close scrutiny, but error will be exposed. It is not wrong to ask questions, but when questions are blocked, the truth is being hidden. <br><br>May any gospel outreach be led by the Holy Spirit, whenever, wherever, with love and compassion, with joy in divine appointments, one on one or in small groups, with opportunities to share testimonies, but not under compulsion.   The following I think is also important: the greek expression &quot;κατ’ οἶκον&quot; used in these verses can also be translated as &quot;in their houses&quot;, which is pretty clear in Acts 2:46; 5:42; 20:20, Romans 16:5; 1 Cor <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EM_eVZDB3BY&amp;t=979">16:19</a> among others. See that Paul says in Acts 20:20 that he teached in public and in private, IN THE HOUSES. This is in line with the main method they adopted at that time: they entered a city, went to a sinagog or a public place, preached and, if they weren&apos;t thrown out, some people would believe and they would continue the preaching in private homes, where the church (congregations) gathered because of the persecution. There was no freedom at that time to go knocking from door to door. See that in Acts 8:3, Luke uses a slighty different expression, &quot;κατὰ τοὺς οἴκους&quot;, to show that Saul actually went from house to house looking for believers. In 1 Timothy 5:13 the expression is also a bit different, &quot;περιερχόμεναι τὰς οἰκίας&quot;, also showing &apos;movement&apos; from house to house.
