Throughout history religious people have been claiming that they were selected by God,and for such reasons the masses must obey their wording and narrative. <br>The GB with their scriptural manipulation have control millions of people.<br>Many of them to their controlling doctrine have even sacrificed their lives.<br>Nowadays we have found out that their death were actually not sacrificed to obey God, but to feed the pride of a group of men who self proclaimed to be a channel used by Jehovah to impart a new lights

Very well produced, brother. As an ex-JW for 55 years ALL OF THESE 7 QUESTIONS eventually came to my mind as I tried to reason on why some idiot elders removed me 5 years ago. I was guilty of no serious clearly defined wrongdoing; and if I had committed one I would have retracted and regretted it and prayed for forgiveness. But that was not the case. The elders made the same mistakes made by the governing body and other members of the branch offices: Creating your own interpretations of what constitutes a "sin"; inventing your own authority structure, demanding that everyone else obey your every word, and professing to be the only group in the world who God puts his spirit on. In other words; modern day PHARISEES!

Well said, Vern. We should indeed ask those questions of any religious organization, not only the Watchtower Society. We should also examine ourselves honestly and see if we are living up to Jesus Christ's standards.

As a former JW "Elder" and District and Circuit convention speaker, I will confirm that Jehovah's Witnesses do not know Jesus. They seldom mention Jesus, our only savior. Like faithless men of old they demand a human King to rule over them! "Christ" means "anointed" but JW's think their corporate officers are the only "anointed" (Christ) on earth! They really sit themselves in the place of Christ as foretold! The Apostle Paul writes about this "man of lawlessness" or "son of perdition" who "opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God!" 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 You cannot disagree with them when they are wrong! Peter was wrong and Paul disagreed with Peter at Acts 15. That is our example but JW's "Rabbis" do not allow for correction. Jesus said: '"But you are not to be called 'Rabbi, Teacher, Leader, Governing body, etc. for you have one Teacher, and you are all EQUAL brothers and sisters." Mt 23 V 8-12 Thankfully U-Tube and social media is exposing them for who they are. "Get out of her my people" and do as Jesus said to do: Where 2 or 3 gather in my name I will be there and send the Father's Holy Spirit to teach you and guide you." But the little JW christs do not know the Holy Spirit nor Christ Jesus, our only Lord and savior. See: The Helper, the Paraclete at John 14:15-17, 25-27, 15:26-27, 16:6-11<br>"And so the Lord says, “These people say they are mine. They honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. And their worship of me is nothing but MAN-MADE RULES learned by rote." Just as Isaiah 29v13 foretold!

Great point about "Where does it say to Shun (Especially where it says to shun those who leave.)?<br><br>I remember The Greatest Man book (I believe it was there) when a young rich man asked Jesus what he had to do to be a follower. Jesus told him to give his belongings to the poor and then go with him (or something like that). After the young man walked away Jesus used him as an example how sometimes the message can be harder to except for some. He never went into the mans town and tell everyone to shun him.

“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing." Matthew 23:37 The foregoing is suggestive of Jesus desiring to gather together a "church" or congregation. A chosen group or "church" is further suggested as the 144,000 in chapters 7 and 14 of the Revelation. Also, Jesus is said to have inspired the Revelation wherein he writes letters to 7 "churches" or congregations. By so doing, he obviously endorsed a "collective" or church. While scholars have declared the Jesus of the gospels and the Jesus of the Revelation as not the same Jesus, the understood context of "church" is clearly expected in any version of Jesus within pages of the NT as a whole. The question is not whether the NT Jesus expected the organization of converts into "one" church or congregation [what else would anyone do with a like-minded collective?] but the question is the legitimacy of the message, itself, after scholarly scrutiny. Does the so-called perfect Word of God have evident errors, ambiguities, and contradictions? Unbiased scrutiny of the ancient texts, themselves, is the only determination factor available.
