  Retired ASE master tech with 42 years in the industry. Toyota 4x4 owner for 35 years. You are 100% correct. As they say in Australia, ‘light beats might’.  A stock well maintained Toyota will get you there and back every time without parts failure. Even with 300,000 miles on the clock. Great video!

  You&apos;re hurting a lot of feelings with this 🤣<br><br>My 4Runner is stock and it is more than enough to do the off-roading I do. Doesn&apos;t need a lift or anything.

  I’ve been an off roader for many years. &nbsp;This is absolute reality. &nbsp;Many lifted trucks out there never been truly off road but they are more akin to parking lot princesses.

  It’s all about looking cool. I made that mistake. Bought a brand-new 2018 Tundra SR5. Lifted it, put 35” off road tires on it. Got a lot of compliments on it, but I secretly hated to drive it after that. Rode rough, gas mileage plummeted. I ruined it. I lived with it for 3 years then sold it. Bought a Tacoma to replace it, and left it completely stock. Much happier with it!

  I’ve been a Toyota off-road enthusiast for over 25 years. I’ve had 10” of lift and big tires and gone over obstacles that needed that stuff. Now that I’m older and prefer overland/camping/fishing activities I find that my TRD Off-Road Tacoma bone stock has gotten me everywhere I’ve wanted to go so far in the last 4 years. I still have the factory tires on it. I’ve been on some trails that people are surprised that a stock truck is on and it hasn’t once let me down. I follow the maintenance schedule you’ve recommended on your channel and my truck is rock solid.
