  Dude tried fitting his whole 2 story house in a 4Runner. Next time keep it minimal. You’ll love camping in the 4Runner without having to dump everything out.

  Most important camping tip I can offer is to make sure that everyone has the same expectations, and match their energy. <br><br>Last thing you want to do is show up with a real lean, minimal, rugged kit expecting everyone wants to have an adventuire and game-out their emergency bail-out supplies doing bushcraft survival, and all youir friends show up with air conditioned teepees expecting to spend the whole time talking about sports and drinking beer and eating steak that they&apos;re gonna complain about if it&apos;s not perfectly medium-rare.<br>It&apos;s fine if everyone doesn&apos;t have exactly the same ideas about how it should go, but it&apos;s gonna be way more fun if everyone is at least playing the same game.

  You guys should get a group of guys and come here to Australia. Collaborate with some Australian YouTubers and do a tour of certain areas. It’ll take years to do it all.

  You guys camp like its a full time job 😅 not a bad thing! I just bring a tent, cooler and frozen pizzas that I heat up on a cast iron 😂

  I installed a deck system in my 4runner and was sleeping in it but im a chunky dude and that setup didn&apos;t last long. Earlier this year I invested in a offroad squaredrop trailer and it was a game changer for me.

  I had a 2009 Tacoma TRD Off-Road, access cab (tiny backseat), 6.5&apos; bed, all stock except an ARE fiberglass camper top/cap with screen windows for 16 years. &nbsp;It camped more than anyone I knew with hyper-expensive over-landing rigs and likely had quadruple the off-road miles. &nbsp;Not trying to brag; just making the point that it doesn&apos;t take much. &nbsp;The &quot;camp gear&quot; was mostly stuff I already had for home or quite inexpensive stuff. &nbsp;You don&apos;t need almost any of that overlanding stuff. &nbsp;Just plan for some safety and recovery issues, stick with easy food, and go out somewhere with a decent stock 4x4 and camp, hike, bike, swim, boat, climb, fish, read, hunt, kayak, strum &amp; sing, whatever. &nbsp;I have basically the same setup in a Tundra now because I have work related heavy towing needs and it works just as well as the Taco did for the &quot;overlanding&quot; other than being a bit bulky. &nbsp;No significant &quot;setup&quot;, no &quot;rig&quot;, less gear, more activity keeps me happy.
