草津で生まれ、1990年代までを草津で過ごしましたが、<br>キラキラな大津市への憧れは強く、今となっても思い出は色褪せないですね。<br>特に西武百貨店。<br>よくよく考えたらその憧れの対象は大津駅じゃなく膳所駅でしたというオチ。

こんにちは。<br>大津駅は京都駅に近すぎることもありますが、大津駅、浜大津駅、大津京駅に市街地が分散していて、近年は大津京の琵琶湖側の県道沿いが活気があります。<br><br>草津は、古くから、東海道と中山道の合流点として交通の要衝。近年の発展は名神と第2名神の合流点の草津PA周辺で、第2名神建設と工業団地、さらに大学キャンパス誘致、宅地造成と大規模な開発があったためです。

私は大津に単身赴任をして居りました。大津駅付近は、土地制約がありますが、浜大津、大津京、があり草津。京都なども近く、車があれば便利で(無くとも）、史跡などもあり楽しい町でした、楽しい動画をありがとうございます。

お隣の京都市民ですが、京都は単身者向けワンルーム賃貸なら大量にあるもののファミリー向けとなるとガクッと値段が上がって富裕層しか住めないので、結婚・出産を機に大津へ転出する人が多いんですよね。職場も大津市民結構います。
