  Sid just might have been the most aesthetically perfect wrestler ever. Imposing yet lean physique, huge, a face made for TV. Just a shame he had "half the brain" needed to be competent in the ring to paraphrase the man himself. Still, I'll always be a mark for him, the master and ruler of the world!

  Actually my all time favorite USWA wrestler was Brickhouse Brown. While he wasn&apos;t one of the organization&apos;s biggest stars, he was IMO one of the best to watch. A perfect &quot;tweener&quot; that made for an exciting match time and again. I did eventually get to meet the man in person. And he was just as relatable, funny and personable outside the ring, as he was a performer between the ropes. As for my favorite match, it has to be a draw of several. My first was watching Brickhouse capture the WCWA Texas heavyweight title. As one of my favorite wrestlers, I had always seen him win minor titles such as the CWA Southern or Tag Team titles (of which he never wore for very long). But that night to see him climb the ladder to a relevant title was a thrill for me. <br>Next would have to be the night Lawler FINALLY captured the AWA World title and take it away from Curt Henning. Nevermind the reality that the AWA was on its last legs, but to finally see Lawler win the big one after decades of always coming up short, was a great win for me (and Southern/Memphis) wrestling fans alike. <br>My last 2 are a tie for different reasons, but still hold dear places in my heart. When Jeff Jarrett defeated Eric Embry for the WCCW Light heavyweight title and the night Iceman King Parsons beat Kerry Von Eric for the WCCW World title (with an assist to the Freebirds). For Jarrett, I saw him leap up several rungs out of Southern mediocrity. He was slowly climbing the ladder to join Jerry Lawler and Bill Dundee as the stars upon which USWA would be built. The Parsons win was a major rug being pulled out from underneath me. It was amazing to finally see a black man win a major world title (to me) for the first time ever. Before WCW took the step to put a black man in the top spot, WCCW took the step. And even let him carry it for a good while. Showing that his run wasn&apos;t just another NWA KVE World title run.

  I remember seeing Vince McMahon wearing the old AWA World title.<br>I can only imagine what Verne Gagne was thinking.

  I grew up on uswa I remember waking up to watching it and it was great memories and Brian Christopher was underrated

  I loved reading about the WWF-USWA feud in the Apter mags while it was never acknowledged on WWF TV. <br><br>I was also lucky enough to get to see Smoky Mountain, even though I lived in Maryland. Inside the Squared Circle had an agreement to air it, and Cornette did their intro.
