Somewhere in Kentucky, there is a man with a tingling neck scar, saying “there’s .50 cal shenanigans somewhere”

There’s a dude in Kentucky with an itchy neck scar right now. He’s also disappointed that the table is surviving the explosions. . .

This video shows how strong Kentucky ballistics is. They donated explosives on a table and couldn't break it. He does it with a hammer lol. 😂😂

We used det-cord to explosively form afterburner liners at P&W. It was wrapped around a Kirksite core which then had a rolled sheet metal shell dropped around it with a multi-piece mold then bolted securely around everything. The whole deal was then put into an underground tank filled with water and capped with a huge metal lid bolted down and a vacuum pulled within for the shot. It shook the ground when fired and the explosion forced the sheet metal out into all the small details in the mold...very neat process.

The explosives cabinet had many different rolls of det-cord varying by the amount of explosive per foot...and detailed instructions for how many wraps of which level cord was to be used depending on the part being made. One time the guy setting up the shot misread the instruction card and substituted det-cord with 10x the explosives because he missed the decimal point and it actually blew the heavy metal lid off and out into the swamp. This had happened before I got there so this was told to me by one of the 'Old Guys'...but I have no reason to not believe him and was VERY impressed with the power of the det-cord.

That word 0:36 is in fact sublimate which means to skip the liquid phase and go directly from solid to gas. Usually the result of a lot of energy being dumped into a system very quickly.

Colourizing the ultra-high FR shots is genius! You already have essentially perfect data to colourize in post so you can allocate that processing power to shooting with higher framerate after the first take. Absolutely genius!
