  This is very timely for me. I recently expressed my interest for someone I've been close to who exhibited the classic attraction signs. She hadn't mentioned a boyfriend until I brought up my feelings, and this "boyfriend" lives several states away. Now that I'm aware of it, I feel loss but not a sense of inadequacy or inferiority, feelings I had in a similar situation when I was a young man. I stepped away. I hope younger guys who aren't aware of this see this video.

  Met in a conference. We both have careers that require traveling. Texted every 2-3 days. Oceans apart. Different languages. Superficial convos. Then it slowly became every week, then every month... When I said something deep or started to open up, he felt uncomfortable and delayed it even more. Life is too short to deal with avoidants and immature people. I liked him more than anyone. I wish him the best, but I'm done. Did he lose interest? Ok, cool, have the b@lls to say it and end the connection correctly. Ghosting is like being 10 years old. In adulthood that's being a coward.

According to the explanation you provided, she’s protecting herself out of fear 😞<br>Enough time has passed where the interest is no longer there. It would’ve been nice to have an open, honest conversation about things, though.

  people here need to understand something.<br>these advices/tips are very abroad and often out of context.<br>and that changes everything, both in what you should expect, how to act, at what pace.<br>if you are in a friendship, sign are completely different and so is how you must act.<br>if you are after a speed dating and know the person for a couple hours, signs are completely different<br>if you know the person for 2 weeks signs are completely different.<br><br>relation between people are complicated, some people get together after being married/divorced after 20 years of friendship, some it is after 2 weeks, it&apos;s not only depending on one side, it is depending on the maturity, situation in life, experiences.<br><br>someone at 23-25 might be overly attracted to physical aspect and not even looks at you (or look at you romantically if you&apos;re friends) then after 2 years and bad experiences with a very attractive person they might undervalue it and suddenly looks at you.<br><br>so it comes to one thing, respect your time, respect yourself! if you don&apos;t see the signs and your interested romantically and don&apos;t need a friendship then move on, and search for new people.<br>if you are in a friendship but don&apos;t see signs then move on too and stay a FRIEND, and search for a romantic partner and put more effort into it than you put in your friendship.<br><br>don&apos;t wait for someone always respect your time and people around you will FEEL it, desperation is always felt, and that NEVER attractive might you be a boy or a girl.<br>if you&apos;re stuck with one person that unclear how they feel about you then the problem is YOU, because you shouldn&apos;t put too much attention on a person.<br><br>if there&apos;s something I never regretted is letting people go, often I didn&apos;t because I convinced myself they were worth it

  Nice, what a beautiful description of simply having a crush on someone. I got quiet around my manager. I wasn&apos;t aware of the fact that I actually like him. Now I&apos;m a bit ashamed of myself and even more quiet around him.

  This is the best video I&apos;ve seen on this topic! Thank you! ❤<br>I recently went through a situation that left me very confused. Understanding this gives me more sympathy for the other person and still leaves respect for myself. <br>It was still very real between us but sometimes people choose fear over love.
