  I hate what Pokemon has become, especially because now the hobby has been infiltrated by former sneaker heads and finance bros who never liked pokemon, just in it for the money

  The most ironic part of the current trajectory of Pokemon cards is that the scalpers who are buying all of the product are actually killing the long-term potential of the hobby, since the kids who would be future nostalgic purchasers can&apos;t actually get any cards that they&apos;d end up being nostalgic about.

  Follows the gambling epidemic. &nbsp;Multi layers of gambling here. &nbsp;Gamble on the cards in a pack. Gamble on the condition of the cards. Gamble on the price fluctuations. Perhaps the card vendors would make more money if they introduce extra layers of gambling to people coming to buy their cards.

  All the scalpers from across various products moved to scalp pokemon cards. It&apos;s sad how your average joe can no longer enjoy pokemon cards.
