  Scalpers gatekeeping a hobby from kids is a self defeating thing. A hobby can’t maintain is value if there isn’t any new blood there to maintain the hobby. After all, we don’t live forever.

  Listing the empty chairs on Facebook Marketplace so that they are gone when the scalpers return to their spot is the greatest thing ever.  Whoever does this is a hero.

  after seeing a scalper at a pokemon vending machine threaten a kid with a gun, I'd be kinda scared to yoink a big box out of their cart for shits and giggles, they might just throw a tantrum and fucking shoot me

  At the Chicago Pokemon exhibit they have a rule that you have to go through the exhibit first, then you get ONE voucher per person and it’s the only way to get into the merch line. It’s also limited to only five items per ticket and no duplicate items so it makes it impossible for scalpers to come in and buy everything out. It was amazing they had so much stuff in stock even late into the day

  People complain that kids these days spend  too much time on their screens but then make it impossible to have said hobbies by hiking the prices up so high no kid can ever afford it on a reasonable allowance :/ it’s just kinda sad to watch honestly…
