  I&apos;m a Artist sculpture and my work works stability release on its metal inerframes or at times the hole sculpture is created out off mild steel. As a child my dad taught me the acetone advantages. &nbsp;This is the first time I heard it in such a fantastical way and more.   I do not use rubberized type undercoatings because they can dry, peel and trap moisture, which can accelerate the rusting process. I had my newest truck undercoated by a Krown Rust Prevention shop five days after I took possession of it when it was new. I again had it treated with Krown the following year. Seven years later, my truck is still rust free and I live and drive in the rust belt. FREE TIPS: Acetone and transmission fluid in a 50/50 mix is also an excellent, low-cost and very effective penetrant for loosening rusted fasteners. Fluid-Film undercoating also does an excellent job of preventing rust on non-rusted metal surfaces and can slow further rust on rusted surfaces that have been cleaned with the acetone and wire brush method. &nbsp;Please tell me where in Columbus, Ohio I can buy acetone for $1.47! &nbsp;I usually pay about $18.00 per gallon at Menards.

  Phosphoric acid is the solution, a 35%-45% diluted , it will turn rust from iron oxide to iron phosphate. POR 15 has a kit and it works, &nbsp;you must follow the instructions by first removing all loose rust with a wire brush and or scraping tool, then apply the POR 15 cleaner and wash it, then apply the the POR 15 acid solution let it soak for 15 minutes and wash it with water. The metal will be black gray color and ready for primer and paint. I used it on my 35 years old &nbsp;ford f150 frame, and finished with POR 15 rust converter paint.
