  Cataclean cleared my check engine code the same day. Followed directions to the point! It drives really good now and my gas mileage increased back to normal

  It did not work for my Nissan NV3500 V8. It actually triggered the ck engine light quicker by adding acetone to my fuel. I have been using acetone in my fuel since 2012 on many of my vehicles. It kills the ethanol and increases surface tension. I also get 50 more MPG on each tank of fuel. It also lowers exhaust emissions by 60%. Keeps my injectors clean and engine running smooth. It does NOT harm your engine. If people search acetone in fuel. The media and petroleum companies say it will damage your engine and swell seals. BULL. I got rid of the P420 code by removing my cats from the vehicle and cleaning them with an acid wash and acetone. You can also use gasoline too. Great info. Thanks for posting.

  Acetone also destroys any rubber gaskets if used improperly.

  Acetone is highly flammable. After passing through the combustion chamber, it will no longer be acetone. Combustion products are CO₂, H₂O, CO, small hydrocarbons, and acetaldehyde. None of these can be expected to dissolve deposits in the convertor. Maybe take the convertor out and flush liquid acetone through it?

  Don&apos;t poor it in and risk rubber hoses and seals. Instead remove the upstream o2 sensor, poor it in, replace the sensor, let it sit (longer the better), &nbsp; then start and run your car. Your exhaust will be smoking for a half hr. I&apos;ve been told dawn dish soap and warm water mixture will do the same thing but I&apos;ve never tried. I&apos;ve used &nbsp;acetone and I&apos;ve used sea foam (with that goofy straw On the can). Both worked on a p0420 and a p0430

  I dont see how this will work its only 2 oz of acetone scotty Kilmer says to use 1 gallon of lacquer thinner I&apos;m going try this today my first stop is the dollar store to get the $1 of acetone then plan a vacation to the tropics using the money i saved on this repair.

  How does acetone vapor survive the combustion event? &nbsp;Won&apos;t the acetone burn and leave nothing behind in the exhaust stream?

  Could be the first O2 sensor upstream from the catalytic converter. If you have a live data scan tool, you can look at the graph of the O2 sensor. And if you know what to look for, you can see that the graph is not &nbsp;correct?.
