  That pasta clip was from Season 6.  They started to stop letting in ametur chefs in back in Season 5 and made it a requirement for the contestants to have actual work experience in the industry for at least a year.  These chefs really don't have an excuse with some of these mistakes.

  As a chef of myself &nbsp;of 8 to 9 years it annoys me that they make dumb mistakes, i will also explain why all their mistakes are so bad.<br><br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWyaLFZoS5c&amp;t=70">1:10</a> its actually possible for it to happen, so when you cook food, no matter what it will always have bacteria on it so you freeze it or store it at a temp where those bacteria either stop multiplying or it slows so much that their growth is negligible, cooking food does not kill ALL bacteria only some, so thats why you CANNOT leave food just lying around<br><br>so for a deeper explanation, cooking food and leaving it out in the open for an hour or so has the possibility to cause severe illness or even death, although it is low risk for most healthy adults, but we don&apos;t know if any of the customers immune systems are weaker then an average persons.<br><br>The 2 Hour Rule, The USDA advises that perishable cooked food should not be left out at room temperature for more than 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours at most.<br>High Temperatures, If the temperature is 90°F (32°C) or higher, food should NOT be left out for more than 1 hour. <br><br>Dangerous Pathogens, Bacteria such as Salmonella, E. coli, and Staphylococcus aureus can grow to dangerous levels in this time. <br><br>Heat Resistant Toxins, If food is left out too long, certain bacteria (like Staph) produce toxins that are not destroyed by reheating. <br><br>Vulnerable Populations, While a healthy adult might only experience mild food poisoning, the same food could cause fatal complications for infants, young children, pregnant women, the elderly, or those with weakened immune systems do pass away.<br><br>High protein foods, dairy, rice, and meat are more prone to rapid bacteria growth than others.<br><br>Also not to mention on this show they&apos;re in a hot or warm kitchen and a hot, humid kitchen promotes faster bacterial growth than a cool room.<br><br>In my cooking class, i learned about exponential growth, where bacteria in the &quot;Danger Zone&quot; (40°F–140°F) can double in number every 20 minutes.<br><br>This amazing mathematical rule illustrates why a small amount of contamination can quickly become a dangerous dose: <br>0 Minutes: 1,000 bacteria (a hypothetical starting amount for ease of your brain understanding). <br>20 Minutes: 2,000 bacteria. <br>40 Minutes: 4,000 bacteria. <br>60 Minutes (1 Hour): 8,000 bacteria<br><br>Now all bacteria is different but for the more dangerous ones its a range or amount of 10 bacteria to 1000 bacteria thats likely to kill you.<br><br>1) E. coli is 10 to 100 cells.<br>2)Salmonella range is 15 cells to 1,000,000+ cells thats a possibility to be dangerous.<br>3)Listeria is 1,000 to 100,000,000 cells.<br><br>So we try to stay below 500 to 1000 as much as possible so nobody gets sick, so thats why food is make quickly and immediately served and not just sitting around for a half an hour

  &quot; How often can you mess up on cooking pasta!?&quot;<br><br>What the video leaves out is that other people kept messing up on scallops, forcing Melinda to start fresh on the pasta.<br><br>This obviously doesn&apos;t account for all of the pasta, as the clip shows. The real mistake was clamming up instead of pointing it out, however.<br><br>Gordon might have yelled at Melinda either way, but having a voice in the kitchen would have helped.

  The Hawaiian vs Asian is always what pisses me off the most. She was told they wanted Hawaiian and that one of the women was pescatarian and can&apos;t eat meat. She told her teammates to cook Asian food and mix the meats with the seafood and feed it to the pescatarian, then tried to shrug it off by saying &quot;I thought we could mix them&quot; despite them telling her to her face that she shouldn&apos;t do that. Not only that, but she sunk her entire team by choosing to ignore what was told to her. It&apos;s so maddening.

  That one with the dogs was hilarious 😂<br>The whole time I’m saying to myself, “no Mipyun, they’re not cooking for the dogs” and then the show calls her out directly I was dying 😂

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWyaLFZoS5c&amp;t=1936">32:16</a> this is basically to the point of where she could be a chef on kitchen nightmares and send someone into anaphylaxis or make them sick because she didn&apos;t listen to their preferences if it was that type of preference because of medical background.

  She wasn&apos;t bored. &nbsp;That was the Youtube captions doing Youtube caption things. &nbsp;she actually said &quot;there were 23 on board Chef.&quot; &nbsp;Meaning that she just wasted 23 filet mignons, the best and most expensive cut of steak. &nbsp;it is supposed to be cooked to order, and she just blasted them to past being well done.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWyaLFZoS5c&amp;t=1172">19:32</a> scallops are really chewy and rubbery both under and overcooked. There&apos;s a point in the middle where they get tender and if you go past it you&apos;d have better luck eating a boot heel. She basically blasted them until you could bounce them off the floor
