All I know is I was utterly saddened when they split. Loved this band thro my teens. Glad I got to see them twice live beforehand in Cork Ireland. Once with the legendary Bob Marley band ❤

Ohhhh...the ub's were the background to my young life...1st school disco, ward end hall school Birmingham, then hooked on them, 1st drink in a pub with ub playing on the jukebox all night, the fox and goose pub Birmingham, starting clubbing,always on my walkman,then sitting on bus to work in harborne on my discman, oh it goes on. Today we are all in our 60s 70s, but you put ub on in a pub or party, you will see the original fans up dancing and singing their heads off. <br>They were the soundtrack to our lives. We loved them. They were brummies, they were us. <br>So sad it all ended so badly.

Seen UB40 twice, Ali and the full band, back in the day. Really good concerts. Shame it all fell apart.
