  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-RK5bzmH_s&amp;t=470">7:50</a> Someone in Pancrea’s comments pointed out this is funnier with context.<br><br>The Assassin got there first but was immediately spotted, but thanks to it being a costume party and the nobles being drunk they all thought the Skaven was just a guy in a good costume. The Skaven, knowing he couldn’t kill his target with so many witnesses, &nbsp;just fixed himself some food and sat down at a table to eat.<br><br>When Thanquol got there he also thought the assassin was a guy in a costume and was so offended he was going to kill him. But, he realized it was a real Skaven before recognizing who it was and &nbsp;that he didn’t like him so killed him anyway.

  One thing that Pancreas didn’t mention about Thanquol that is one of my favourite of the rat’s qualities is that he is a bit of a weeb for humans. Some passages even imply that he treats his human slaves better than his non-human ones, even if only slightly so. At one point he is walking through a crowd of humans and gets really excited and genuinely happy when he thinks a human was speaking fluent Skaven (it was just a Skaven assassin hidden in the crowd talking). The guy genuinely finds humans interesting and does all manner of research and experimentation on them and their culture and such.

  Fun fact about the great horned rat, he was summoned unto the material plane once before the endtimes, after the 12th everchosens invasion i believe, it was then that the black pilar was put into place which will judge skaven worthy of joining the council

  Essentially the Greyseers are the Skaven with natural magic ability, the wizards to the other Skaven’s warlockery. They are also the only Skaven that the Great Horned Rat regular communicates with, doing so via prophetic visions from time to time, so they are pretty much the only Skaven who somewhat have an idea of what the hell is actually going on. However since they are still Skaven and the whole race has a combined planning ability of preschooler who eats rock cocaine for breakfast, even they aren’t exactly that clued into the greater picture compared to the goals and endgames of all the other races and factions.<br><br>They are also the people in charge of the Skaven religion (minus Clan Pestilin, who are begrudgingly allowed to perform acts of rat heresy) and the ones in charge of making sure Skavendom is kept somewhat hidden from non-Skaven by magic. Most Greyseers are attuned to the Wind of Shadow Magic, though there can be a few attuned to other Winds of Magic (which makes them stand out among the other Chaos aligned factions in Age of Sigmar by not primarily using Chaos Sorcery for their spells).

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-RK5bzmH_s&amp;t=620">10:20</a> so, I gotta make something clear, warpstone CAN boost your magic power especially if you&apos;re a skaven, but in at least one book (i believe in the second book of the black plague trilogy) there is an example of a skaven grey seer mutating in what amounts to a chaos spawn by overuse of the solidified Dhar magic, the fact that thanquol does not seem to have suffered that much ill effects yet is genuinely astounding
