  Ciaphas Cain can't officially be declared KIA because he was thought dead and came back so many times that the Adeptus Administratum just got sick and banned placement of that classification on him.  😂

  The audiobooks of the Ciaphas Cain series are so good, got the physical omnibus for the first 3 books at christmas

  Ciaphas Cain is such a good character. The idea of a cowardly commissar suffering from severe impostor syndrome feels like it shouldn&apos;t work in 40k, but obviously it works incredibly well. Always love seeing PancreasNoWork&apos;s videos too

  The secret to reading the Caine books, and the reason it seems like EVERYONE has read them. Is that they&apos;re WH40K&apos;s mid meal sorbet<br><br>You read some normal 40K, and whenever it gets too grim or serious, you read a Cain book. Reading them all in one go gets repetitive, but as a palate cleanser they&apos;re refreshing

  Cain was assisting Mechanicus on mission which at the time he thought it only supposed to be digging out lost human technology only to find out that &nbsp;it wasnt lost tech but The Necron Tomb World! He was the only survivor because &nbsp;by pure luck he found the necron teleportation tech. &nbsp;This was his first interaction with necrons and they traumatized him so much that next time in future he spots sings of necrons presence on diffrent planet he loses his cool and demands to nuke the planet they were suposed to protect from the orks. Turns out he was right because those necrons were the flayers.

  My favorite fact about Cain is he’s not only killed Chaos marines, but he was in a practice duel with a tech marine and was not only able to parry and defend against him, but even managed to scar his armor, which the tech marine decided to keep as a memento to not underestimate his opponents. Dude can be badass when he needs to be.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RuqlwGy2R8&amp;t=836">13:56</a> after retirement, Cain has become something of a paradox/riddle.<br><br>In his books he claims he never was once a hero, but Amberly constantly points out most to his deeds had benefits to his forces and he has a habit of not seeing them.<br><br>So the question is “is he a coward wearing the mask of a hero or is he a hero hiding behind the mask of a coward”
