  How is it illegal to open up your intake system? If the guys driving in 2016 Honda Civic then how the f*** does it even have a warranty on it. This video keeps getting better and better with all the misinformation

  You should actually disconnect the negative terminal from the battery then remove the throttle body from the car to clean it as excess throttle body cleaner being sprayed into it could damage other electronic sensors around the throttle body.<br>Plus removing it makes it easier to clean the entire throttle body both sides.<br>Then reassemble and reconnect the battery, there shouldn&apos;t be a problem with the throttle position sensor as the battery was disconnected and the vehicle doesn&apos;t know it&apos;s been apart.

  Literally none of these are illegal. In fact, manufacturers say you should use fuel additive every 5k miles or so to keep your fuel injectors clean.

  My granddad used to remove the spark plugs, clean them up with gasoline, regap them and reinstall

  Throttle body cleaning. Use the spray they say. It&apos;s not a air sensor. To clean one. You will go through cans of the spray. You only need one. Get the gaskets and the electrical parts that is on it. New parts. Less cleaning. The throttle body itself. The best fluid to clean it is gasoline and brushes. After 100% cleaning it. Use the spray then. To make sure there is no debris left. Then. Put it back together. So extremely simple. Anyone can do it. As a teen. The town mechanic hid while doing carburetors. Like it was so top secret. Threw my life. I found out why he really hid. They are that simple to work on. I rebuilt all of the brands of carburetors in America. I just got my set of tools in that I really needed. They are used to take off every hose and wire connected on any vehicle. FYI. How often does someone really need them. Not. Why you do not need expensive tools. Something that works. I bought the three sets off of Amazon. For brakes. To reset the caliper brake pad cup. A 6 inch C clamp. Take your time. Don&apos;t break the cup. Pushes the cup back in well beyond easy as long as you open the bleed valve. Extremely simple. Don&apos;t make anything and even the new vehicles hard. Learn before you do. Take pictures if you have to. Keep everything in a single location. Take your time. How do I know. That&apos;s how many times I have personally messed up. I learned the hard way. Outside the computers needed for EVs. I can work on them as well. Very simple.

  high flow air filters that use oiled cotton are CRAP. Only foam type ones like Pipercross do the filtering job. Cotton is so thin, You can almost see through it and likewise does the dirt flow through it. Also oil flows through the MAF sensor and cooks around the hotwire which can lead to permanent sensor damage. That&apos;s my experience on a few cars I had.

  And you have to watch out for the dealers who say they put a new part on and they just clean the old one like you are talking about. Charge you an arm and a leg for just cleaning the old part.
