  The bad cap on the one fan motor kept it from starting properly.  Once the other fan started, it was pulling air back through the other fan causing it to start pinwheeling backwards.

  Takes courage accepting a customer that fired another company. Customers like that are always trouble atleast for me

  The other guys put the bad compaciter .in the last clean. So thay could shake him down for a new unit.

  I was working for this ministry, they couldn&apos;t figure out why the unit was blowing fuses. That two companies come out to check it and they said you have to replace the whole unit it&apos;s worn out. Ask me to take a look guess it didn&apos;t need to replace but it had a couple more good years left in it, I asked him which fuses are being blown it was the main ones coming up to the unit, 3-100 amp fuses, then I looked at the other fuses the ones for the compressor and the ones for the heating unit. I asked him where they running the heater at the same time they said no just the compressor, so I looked at the junction block sure enough for lightning strike had damage the unit it was conducting electricity like a big resistor that&apos;s why I took 5 to 10 minutes before it would blow the 100 amp fuses. So I did a little trick I had some leftover parts from something else and I tied all the wires together very carefully. Triple taped everything, thus the unit is still working has been for several years. It&apos;s called do the math folks 40 amp fuse cannot blow 100 amp fuse that was the compressor fuse. And the heater fuses for 60 amps and they were not used when they were not turned on.

  I&apos;ve seen this twice. Both on single fan rtu&apos;s. Unit was tripping on high head. Replaced cap, spilt condenser and cleaned. Unreal how much crap gets between those split coils. Also, labeling refrigerant removes a ton of headache. Nice work!

  Some companies you just cant trust. The one that came to my house to check my 21 year old Trane 3 ton unit told me it could not be fixed. But the next company showed up found a pin hole leak in the copper line fixed it in like an hour saved me from getting a new unit for now he said it could last a few more years.

  It’s it’s an original part. It’s a 5.5. It needs a 5.5 capacitor if it’s a 7.5 motor and you’re running on a five capacitor it will run backwards.
